Their wholesome cultured Butter is here and just in time for our sweet corn season! So what’s the difference between 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗱 butter?
Cultured butter is made by adding bacterial 𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬 to pasteurized 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 and then fermented. During fermentation the cream thickens and develops wonderfully 𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘆 flavor notes. It’s 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗲𝗿 than traditional butter with just a slight tang from the cultures—similar to the tanginess of buttermilk or yogurt. Culturing dairy has many benefits like 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Cultured butter is a 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗔, 𝗗, 𝗘 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗞-𝟮. Based on studies, vitamin A from cultured butter is more 𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗰𝗸𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗯𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗯𝗲𝗱. During culturing, much of the lactose in milk is 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗸𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗼𝘄𝗻 & enzymes aiding in digestion increase. Most people with lactose intolerance can 𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 cultured butter because it contains only 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗲 amounts of lactose.
